Dy-lan, Soraya, and D. threw me an awesome going away party at Lakeside Lounge on Wednesday night and it was great to see so many people come out and say goodbye. It *almost* made me not want to leave.

I asked everyone to write me something in this book so that I would have something to remind me of home when I’m lonely in Europe.  I promised I wouldn’t read anything until I’m actually there, and I’m excited to see what everyone wrote! 

I got some really amazing gifts that are going to make my trip easier.  Big thanks to Audra for the awesome lights, Oksana for the wine, book, patch kits, and other goodies, Andre for the cap, Elaine for the beautiful sunflowers, Nydia for the book, Marcia for the journal, and Rebecca for the sweet stove, fuel, cooking pans, and emergency food.  I’d been going back and forth about whether I wanted to bring a stove or not and I was so glad that Rebecca bought me one because its just one less thing I have to think about.
