Today was beautiful. The climbing was great. I went to 1200 m at the highest point.
I knew that it was going to be a long day of climbing without places to stop, so I was prepared with a baguette, two peaches, and full water bottles.
I had a really good lunch at a cool restaurant that was right on the side of the canyon.
I could also see the Tunnels de Fayet from the restaurant, which were unlit, except for the light from the windows cut into the rocks.
and then I rode over the Pond d’Arturby, which used to be the highest bridge in Europe.
It is a popular spot for bungee jumping, but there was no one out.
The ride from Soleils to Castellane was totally flat, and it was a perfect way to end a fantastic day.

What do you think you’ll do when you get back? Do you think you’ll work for transportation alternatives?
