Today I biked from Aups to Aiguines, which is on the Lac de Saint Croix, and just at the beginning of the Grand Canyon du Verdon.
I took an electronic boat into the canyon.
The color of the water in the lake was really fantastic.
Bernard and Sylvia, the people who ran the boats, invited me to their place that night for a party they were having with the firemen.
French people cannot pronounce my name. The closest they come sounds something like ‘ay-zere,’ so they decided to call me Sophie.
It was really nice to be with everyone, and we had a great couscous dinner, which certainly prepared me for the next day….the GRAND CANYON!
